Hi Everyone, I am an incoming MBA student at Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business for the FT class of 2025. Here is a little information to give you an idea about my profile and background. GMAT: 700; GRE: 321 Education Background: B.E. Civil Engineering Pre-MBA: Manufacturing and real estate Post-MBA goals: Short term: IB Work experience: 4 years I was waitlisted at Fuqua after applying in EA (without interview). I was then invited to interview in R2, but was waitlisted again. And finally got off the waitlist earlier this month. Shoot your questions!

welcome to the most represented club not just amongst Fuqua applicants but also all global applicants. I’m represent the same so I speak from experience. Fuqua gives a LOT of focus to the fit, much more than quite a few other top schools who might give slightly more weightage to Academic performance. So being able to exhibit those qualities through your work and essays would definitely be a great addition. Read up on the DQ (Decency Quotient) on the Fuqua Blogs. Show that Fuqua is your top choice (if it is ) right from being in touch with the adcom, applying in the EA round, sharing updates (however small). All these go a long way towards making you stand out from a VERY big pool of VERY similar applicants. I second this. This was a major reason for Fuqua being my top choice too!

attending their adcom connects is one way of getting the waiver, they do specify it explicitly. I attended one of their in person events in New Delhi last year. I believe the zoom session before this also qualifies you for the waiver.
