Waitlisted too. If anyone has any insights on how to get off of it, please do share.

A big issue for me is that I already have an admit from isb but us mba schools were my first choice so I wanted a decision now to make a call since isb starts in April. In fact the final commitment fees needs to be paid next week. Any idea how realistic it is to be hopeful of getting off the waitlist? Would really appreciate thoughts and strategies to consider at this point

Does duke select a lot of students off waitlist ?

Guys quick question, I do not see the waitlist decision reply form in my portal. Where can I find that?

Give it a few minutes, the waitlist form link will show you in the application portal.

A current student shared that you have to show continuous engagement. They need to feel that you will absolutely join if admitted. Send some regular updates and hope for the best.

Stern in their waitlist doc mentioned that they will take a call in Spring. So I think March might be the time to hear from all colleges regarding waitlist.
Anyways, it will definitely not be before the deposit deadline for the admitted candidates. So you may have to decide quickly.

Got it. Wondering how that plays out with all the claims regarding “yield protection”. Would career updates further strengthen their belief that I won’t join?

Yield is not the only metric. Employment stats matter too. Someone with fast career progress is more likely to get hired post MBA too. If you keep them updated even after a career upgrade, they will perceive it as you still wanting to join them.

Ah, my goals were family business- so employment shouldn’t be a problem either way. But thanks for the insights, will try and share updates. Perhaps the advice is still valid for internships since I will definitely be needing that.

Can someone tell me , the admitted people, does attending events really count? or should we focus more on the GRE/ GMAT and not waste time on these events?

Please guide me ... Got waitlisted at Keley, Kenan, and Emory :{

Hi @arjun221199 ! Sorry to hear about the waitlist. We understand being waitlisted can be tough, but don’t worry, it’s also a sign that you’re still in the running. Stay positive and proactive, many candidates who stay engaged and continue to show their commitment ultimately succeed! Keep going, you’ve got this!Please feel free to take a look at this blog on the "Waitlisted Strategies: How to Navigate the Process". It will help you with the necessary tips and insights to increase your chances of success!

Also, attending events can show your genuine interest and help you connect with the community, but it shouldn’t distract you from the essentials. If your GRE/GMAT score is low, focus on improving it. Use events to engage thoughtfully, but make sure your main effort goes into strengthening your application to boost your chances.

Duke’s employment report is scary. Only 65% job offers for internationals by the time of graduation. and 77% 3-months after.

It’s quite concerning - wonder what the discrepancy between Duke and other peer schools was this year? Figures reported by other schools weren’t as bad

I think they are getting more creative with reporting too. I saw one college put % after 6 months of graduation
