Haas 2018 Essays Required Essays Essay #1 Tell us a six-word story that reflects a memorable experience in your life-to-date. Elaborate on why it is meaningful to you. (250 words maximum) Tip: A successful six-word story will pique the reader’s interest in the forthcoming explanation. Together, the story and explanation will share a specific and personal experience that helps the reader get to know you better, giving insight into your character, values, or how you would uniquely contribute to the Berkeley-Haas community. Essay #2 Respond to one of the following prompts: (250 words maximum) Describe a significant obstacle you have encountered and how it has impacted you. Describe how you have cultivated a diverse and inclusive culture. Describe a leadership experience and how you made a positive and lasting impact. Hello to everyone! I got an invitation today! I submitted my application the 20th of September and like the 27th of September I received an email saying my application was complete and ready for review. I'm from Colombia but I live and work in Chile for the biggest airline in Latin America. My Undergraduate gpa is 3.3 and my gmat is 720 (Q49, V39). 4 years of experience in the airline industry and current position is network planing manager. Good luck to everyone! The interview will be the 17th of november in Santiago, Chile with an alumnus.

It sounds like most people who got invited to interview submitted their application early, got the "ready to review" email during the week of 9/24 - 9/30, and then got the interview this week (10/15 - 10/21). Maybe it takes around 3 weeks for the 2 Berkeley adcoms reading your app to both read over and decide to extend the interview?
