Definitely apply! Even though I was rejected I am happy that I gave it my best. I can imagine that if I hadn’t applied, I’d still not have gotten in but would have regretted it!

The advertisement was to increase the application number and lower the acceptance rate. 😆 But it’s HBS and it’s a crapshoot for most applicants.

Rejected as well - background in case helpful: - White male, would be 28 at time of matriculation (~6 years of WE) - Lower-tier Ivy undergrad w/ 3.9 GPA / magna cum laude - Top BB IB, top MF PE, now at a hedge fund - 730 GMAT (44Q, 45V) - think this probably made it tough for my applicant pool - Post MBA goal = moving to late-stage growth equity

Generally speaking would say people view as Cornell / Brown / Dartmouth

This is pretty major dependent. For STEM / CS, Cornell is better than a lot of other Ivies

Rejected too. Never got my hopes too high with HBS because it didn't feel 100% right for me, but still a bit disappointed after all the hard work and soul searching. There's a particular bitterness that we can't figure out exactly why and just live with it. why is life so hard ahhhh
