Also got put into further consideration ... has anyone heard of any success cases where an applicant getting put into further consideration ended up getting interview in R2 and admitted?

Wondering if I should just treat this as a reject and move on, or is there still a real chance.

Yes. some candidates get a new score and submit that to demonstrate an increase in merit. Among other things.

Big congratulations to everyone who received interview invites. At HBS everybody needs to get participation points to succeed, so you need to demonstrate good judgment on making a salient point and then knowing when to get off the stage. So that everybody else can get their points too. Be direct and concise. They will be looking for that.
