Hey everyone! Just created this thread because I've been scouring GMATClub for a discussion thread on HEC September 2018 intake and realized there wasn't one. Anyone applying to HEC for the September 2018 intake or has received a decision for it, please do post an update here. Also, I just got an admit! My profile: Background - Engineering Current Industry - Industrial Automation WE at the time of matriculation - 60 months GMAT - 710 GPA - 7.5 Location - India Target Industry - Technology Heard back via - Email Timeline - Submitted application on 15th September. Pre-selection outcome decision - 22nd September. Finished both interviews in the first week of October. Got an admit on 12th October. Interviews - Both were with alumni, one in my city, other in Philippines. Hi All,

Has anyone applied by the April 01 deadline for Sept 2018 and heard back on pre-selection?

Does HEC respond irrespective of the pre-selection outcome?

Also, what criteria does HEC consider for excellence scholarships? looks like most people don't get scholarships.

Are there any need-based scholarships also?

I received a pre-selection positive notification a few days ago, but haven't heard anything since about interviewers etc.
I guess they are now trying to match candidates with interviewers that would work geographically and application -wise.

Strange that someone who applied on the 1st of April got intimation before someone who applied on 27 March 2018

They have a step to verify if the application is complete and they let you know via e-mail if it will be forwarded for pre-selection.
I got such a mail on 03 April, and meant to ask when did you get an "application is complete, it will be fwded for pre-selection" e-mail?
Or maybe it depends on the region you're applying from.

Tnx! it was actually more of a coffee chat than a proper interview.
We met a cafe in TLV, talked a little bit about his job and what he had done since graduation.
I then presented my 10 mins presentation that dealt with innovation in design as a tool for social mobility. we actually spent almost 2 hours talking about why each of us wanted to do the MBA, why HEC and the whole experience of campus living and networking.
It was a super friendly and positive experience, definitely a genuine way to get to know someone, his/hers motives and aspirations.
I was asked if I applied to other European schools, but he didn't seem to mind my reasons for doing so. We also talked about classes, professors, the great atmosphere between students and how to pursue your career goals.

saloni4591 HEC gives you about a month to do that. I got a mail on 14th Oct saying i need to pay by 14th Nov.
