Same here. I was expecting to get the details last week itself, given the short cycle period of the school. Hopefully, we will hear back from them in the coming days.

Quick question,

In the "professional experience" section for the question "number of employees", what is the appropriate answer for someone working in an MNC?

Do I write number of employees in my team?
Number of employees in my department locally or globally?
Number of employees in the company locally or globally?

I'm confused. Any help will be appreciated.

Hi Harshet,

I am pretty sure that you should not write the number of employees in your team or in your department. The number of employees in the company, locally or globally, sounds better.

I would naturally write the number of employees in the company globally, however I don't think this information to be primordial. It is probably just a way to imagine the type of company you are working for.
If you have a doubt, why not contacting a Recruitment Officer at HEC?

Regards,

Hi Pewi,

Thanks a lot for the advice. I have already written to the Adcom, just waiting to hear back from them. Although, as you said, this field is just an indication of the type of company I work at so I'm not very fussed about it. :)

I faced the same problem 2 days ago. But after a few hours the site was up and running. Just give it time and try again after a while.

In the "Which other colleges are you applying to" question, is there anything to keep in mind before answering? Will it have any effect on their decision?

It depends on how you word it. In my case I did mention that I was applying to IMD as well, but gave my reasons for why HEC will be my first choice. I got in anyway (dinged by IMD though).

Did you give explanation for a weakness or provide additional information for strengths?

I have a low UG GPA so I've mainly used to highlight that. Additionally, given some information about my sports and community service work, as I have plenty of both and the extra professional section doesn't do justice to it.

I used 400+ words to explain choice of recommender (why I didn't get reference from current supervisor), not impressive undergrad GPA, and seemingly illogical career progression. It was mostly to address weaknesses. I just submitted my application today btw.
