What are the job prospects like for those who don't speak French fluently post-MBA? Are any non-French speakers planning to stay in France after HEC?
I know someone who completed his course this December. He told me that it is difficult to get an internship without knowing any French. However, since HEC is a growing brand in Western Europe, job prospects are good as you can look outside of France too.
On a personal level, I'm learning elementary French online as I'll happily work in France if given the opportunity. First choice though, remains London.
I've talked to a lot of Indian students, both current and former, at HEC and they did say that job prospects are tough. A lot of them went back to India or got opportunities in Middle East especially for consulting. All things considered, I decided to not move ahead with HEC.
So, in a nutshell, I'd say reach out to current students on LinkedIn and ask questions. Poets and Quants did a blog on all the admitted students for 2018 and 19 so you can easily find their names. Reach out to them and you'd have a much better idea.
All the students told me that the experience at HEC itself is fantastic. It's a very global program and way more diverse than the topmost US program but inherently it's a difficult prospect to land a job in Europe if you're a non EU citizen.
