Hi,

If my recommender submits his recommendation tomorrow, will my application be considered for the 1st round or the second?

The schools generally give you some leeway for the recommendations to come in.
The best way to know is to drop in a mail to ISB tell them the reason why your evaluator is unable to submit today.
I think they should consider your request

Yes. The school itself gives you time until the 20th to submit your recommendations.

ankurgupta03 did ISB clarify your issues?
Not really. I mailed them about my query but I could not understand the response,. In the meanwhile, my recommender submitted the recos.
Then I went ahead and clicked on the submit button in the evaluation page again. This removed the evaluator details from my application, but I was able to see the Submit button and finally submitted the application.

Post this, I dropped in a mail again asking them to attach the reco to my application.
They have replied that they will take care.

I think I should not be in any trouble :)

submitted the application. the nervous waiting begins. any idea how long it takes for decision/interview for international applicants?

Here you go. As per the ISB website: https://www.isb.edu/pgp/admissions/admis ... rt-Holders

Non-Indian passport holders will follow a rolling evaluation process and will be interviewed within 30 days of receipt of their completed application and will be informed about the admission decision within three weeks of the date of the interview.

Now that every one is done with the Round 1 submissions, take some time out and relax.
But do not over do your relaxation :)

Start your research soon and start preparing for the interviews.
You do not get much time between your invite and the date of the interview. Usually it is less than 10 days.

Here is the transcript of the chat with Mr. Rupesh that happened on the 15th of September.

All the best!

Any possible timeline as to when interview calls start rolling out?

Hi Guys,

Interview calls are given 5-7 days before interview dates. Interview period is from Key Dates. Hence, interview calls are rolling. Please also bear in mind that you may be called to a location other than your preferred one.

Hence, enjoy this period of uncertainty!!!!

My suggestion - Just prepare for your interview. The preparation will come in useful for ISB or any other option.

The entire ISB preparation Kit (prepared over a period of time), is given here ISB kit.

Besides maybe you could also share how you're preparing for the interview. Others may also benefit or could give suggestions for improvement. :-D

Call the admissions office to clarify your confusions.

Alternatively, if you have a bit of patience, you could send them an email :apphelp [AT] isb.edu , and they will send you a reply in writing.

I think you should be safe if your recommendation gets submitted by the 20th (that too is around the corner - best get in touch with your recommender and ask for submission today and not wait for the last moment).

Hi Guys,

Does ISB has a cut off for AWA? I took gmat last year and score 700 with a 5 in AWA. however this year my gmat score is 720 but my AWA is 4. Will it have a negative impact on my application? If not then which score would ISB consider?

Just to help everyone else like me who is wondering when the invites would come in - I called the admissions and was informed invites will only be sent 5-7 days before your respective location interview dates which are as follows:
Delhi - 20 -22 November
Hyderabad - Every weekend
Mohali - Not yet scheduled
Bangalore/Mumbai - 27-28 November

Cheers! :)

adityapuri, from where did you get the tentative interview dates for Round 1?
When I called up ISB Admissions, they told me hadn't taken out the schedule yet... Only that the dates of 1st Nov to 10th Dec are on the website and that the interviews will be in Mumbai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Mohali and Kolkata
Thanks! :)
