Hi,
I applied in R1 with a 660 GMAT and a decent profile (Engineer, Government of India, Foreign Posting, Startup). I had lost all hopes of making it after the interviews for Delhi and Mohali were rolled out. But, I have JUST received an email invitation for an interview at Hyderabad on 16th. It shows on my online profile as well.

Is this a standard practice?

Give it all my friend.
It happened in the past as well. All the best

Hi,
Though this is not a standard practice, it has happened in the past (but its rare). Since you're lucky to have a shot at the interview, give it your best! Let me know if you need Interview Preparation for ISB Interviews.

Adcom informed that people whose interviews are already over will get their result on 15th... Others who received interview invite for this weekend will have their portal status as under process and results will be declared later for them alone

Announcement: A few interviews invites are pending as of now. Invites for the same will go out early next week and actual interviews will follow. For the rest, the final decisions (Accept/Waitlist/Under process {R1 interview}/Reject) will be announced on 15th Nov.

This was the message from Adcom last week.
Hope it clarifies.

Hi all,

How does one submit an additional/optional essay? I'm not a reapplicant but wanted to submit an optional essay to clarify something. However, I do not see any option for the same.

Any suggestions in this regard will be highly appreciated. Thanks!

There's no provision for an optional essay.

Hey.

I wanted to know on what basis are students at ISB selected as members in the clubs of their choice?

Any more insights on the working and structure of the student clubs at ISB will be appreciated.

Thanks.

As you r not reapplicant, whatever u need to convey should be done through those 2 essays only, I believe...

Noted. Whatever I wanted to convey was very operational and related to the nature of my current role. So, it will be really out of place in the other two essays. I had submitted this as an optional essay for all US schools and thought I could do the same here as well

Students select clubs on the basis of their career motivations. The club heads can use mechanisms such as interviews or questionnaires to select members. B-School won't play a role in allotting clubs to the students.

Hi,
This time around ISB has done away with optional essay. Your concern about nature of your current role can be discussed if you make it to the interview stage. However, you shouldn't be the one bringing it up in the interview.
