Has anyone received invite for Hyderabad in R2?

Quick question, does the location of the interview by any chance increase or decrease the competition in the admission process?

I've got an interview invite for Hyderabad for Jan 4th. This is almost 20 days' notice which I find highly surprising as the norm is 5-7 days. Also, I had selected Bangalore as my preferred location, not Hyderabad. Wondering how I should read this, or if I should at all read anything from it.
Anyone else got something similar?

I'm also wondering if I should consider myself dinged if I don't get an invite tomorrow. I asked for Delhi interview, so the 5 day cut-off is tomorrow.

I don't know any such candidate personally, but I know for a fact that some candidates who selected Delhi as interview location and submitted GRE scores have got interview invites.

Congratulations on getting an interview invite.

There might n no. of reasons for the change in interview location and early communication of the interview date. One of the potential reasons might be that the adcom believes that there will be more alumni based out of Hyd who can better evaluate you as part of the interview panel.

Being an alumnus and someone who has been supporting applicants in their admission journeys as a consultant, I would strongly recommend you to use the additional time to prepare more thoroughly for the interview and not seek any justification of why you have been treated differently than others.

Who knows - it might very well be that there was an IT glitch because of which you got lucky :P

I haven't received the Mumbai invite yet. Does the status reflect in the application form login?

Just received an invite for Hyderabad campus. Date 4th January. Keep your fingers crossed guys..there are certainly more to come..
