Hi,

I have 2 questions

1) LBS's cut off for GMAT is 650 Is there a section-wise ?

2) I understand that the class average for GMAT is 701, I do however have a GMAT score of 650. what is the probability to get through with a 650 Score. I currently have 5.5 years of marketing and branding work experience in an advertising and strategy consulting start-up, an e-commerce start-up and a global B-school in India. I have a Bachelor's degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering and a Post Graduate Programme from MICA, specialising in Brand Management and Market Research.

Hey Lady! I will give you some of my conclusions based on my convo with the admissions office -

The school prefers you have a balanced score (like most) but will look at the GMAT along side your other academic performance and work experience to make a fair judgement if one section is weaker. That said they definitely prefer to see a score with a 7 in the hundreds place and if you can bump that verbal up, you could make it :)

An external admissions consultant (AccessEducation) explained the situation of lower than average GMATs to me in a really clear way: given that one of the performance metrics of an MBA recruiting team is usually maintaining or raising the average GMAT of the program, an admissions committee has to "spend points" on every student they send an offer to that is below their average. Your score of 650 means the admissions committee needs to "spend" 50 points. Do you have a profile worth spending 50 points on? That's not something I can offer feedback on. I suggest you call the admissions office and have an initial chat with them about your profile. If you don't want to take the GMAT again I might suggest hiring an admissions consultant to help you write some killer essays.

Good luck!

Hi All!

I have a small query regarding submission of GMAT scores. I took my GMAT some years back (it is still valid), and did not have it sent to LBS. The LBS website says:

-The GMAT/GRE are compulsory elements of the admissions criteria and applicants should submit a self-reported score.

-The GMAT code for the London Business School MBA Programme is Z11-J7-50. Please include a copy of the preliminary score report with your supporting documents. If admitted you will be required to arrange for us to receive an official score report.

I find not sending official score report different from the process in other schools. Could someone kindly confirm whether or not I need to send the official scores via Pearson VUE?
Thanks!

Hi guys, I have a question...
How did you all submit the official test taker's report of GMAT.

It includes all the canceled scores and schools were the scores were sent to.

Did you submit the whole thing or just the relevant pages?

Hi! You can request an official score report be sent to schools on the GMAC website.

A: Additional score reports can be ordered online for a fee. You may also contact GMAT Customer Service by phone. Please note, there will be an additional USD $10 fee for ordering by phone.

The schools won't see any instances of a cancelled score.

Hi Ipetroski,
Thanks for your reply!

But I think LBS require us to submit the official TEST TAKER REPORT in addition to the official score sent from GMAT...

This is why I am confused... If they already have the validated scores, why would they want us to separately attach our own report?
Maybe they purposely want to check if we have done GMAT more than once or have applied to other schools?

Maybe I am just overthinking :p
