Found this in the thread for last year. Can't be bothered to do a 2015 analysis but there seems to be a pattern.

Monday Oct 20, 2014: first invites
Tue-Friday Oct 21-24, 2014: almost silence
Monday 27, 2014: large # of invites sent out
Tue-Friday Oct 28-31: some invites
Wed Nov 5,2014: another large #of invites sent out (most international applicants got invites in this batch)
Friday Nov 7, 2014: some invites and ding/waitlist notifications


Friday Oct 25,2013: first invites
Monday-Friday Oct 28- Nov 1 2013: large # of invites sent throughout the week
Monday-Thursday Nov 4-7 2013: complete silence
Friday Nov 8 2013: some invites
Friday Nov 15 2013: some invites and ding/waitlist notifications

For interviews to be scheduled in hub cities like NYC and Boston it makes sense to spread out. For hub cities in Asia I don't know if there is sufficient volume to spread out invites. It might have to do with the speed/sequence of review. Again, no idea.

I heard many interview slots have been taken in Beijing, which means they sent out a batch of invites in China.
So It's very likely they read apps according to their travel plan.

Thank you for pulling together this analysis, but keep in mind what was posted on the admissions blog:

"We have already begun sending interview invitations to Round 1 candidates, and will continue to send them until November 1st. By November 1st, every R1 applicant will receive an updated decision status."

This year, we will all find out by Nov 1 (thus the previous years' timelines are condensed--we will not hear back as late as Nov. 7 or Nov. 14).

I think I'm going to take a much more zen approach (not constantly checking) to this and let the chips land where they may instead of obsessing like for Booth which was a disappointment. Good luck all.

i tried that too and it didn't work... the stress is always there no matter what. and i have a strong feeling i'm done with sloan and gsb, considering the many invites posted on livewire.

Don't give up wahaha04. It wasn't that many actually. So far 17 interview invites from MIT on livewire. Past R1 was always 50-60 invites on livewire. Way to go guys!
