Hi there! As far as I know, MIT Sloan interviews are done by the admissions committee and not alumni like some schools. They are conducted Boston time and scheduled by MIT also. Good luck :)

Thank you! Very interesting. So just to confirm, the adcom schedules the interviews instead of the applicant selecting from available times in a calendar?

There will be a portal where you can select from the dates and time slots available.

I saw two people got invites. Are invites being rolled out?
Invites for the normal MBA usually go out late October for the 1st round

I am aiming to apply in the second round. I got a waiver too. I’m just wondering if getting a waiver decreases one’s chance or not.

They say it doesn’t, and I believe it cos the class that just matriculated has students who were granted waivers

Whilst the messaging is that a gmat waiver doesn't decrease your chances, it does put the emphasis on other parts of your profile to demonstrate intellectual ability. In granting the waiver, you have to send them proof of ability anyway though. But as an example, someone with a 3.2 GPA could cover that with a 760 GMAT, but now they would need a CFA or work experience or other things to show they have the intellectual rigor needed for the class.

I've applied in round 1 with a waiver and a rather low GPA. I do have significant experience and a good reason for the GPA though. I'll let you know how I end up.
