Calling All NYU Stern MBA Applicants: 2024 Intake Class of 2026

I applied with one for the Stern full-time MBA. I haven’t received any notification or change in status.

I called admissions as of this morning and they said the latest we’d be notified is December 1st, which would include the date for even offering an interview.

Tbh, I’m surprised how long this process is taking. I’ve submitted several apps with my EA for full time MBAs and received interviews on either the first day the school started offering interviews or a week after submitting the app. It seems NYU is not prioritizing communication or speed.

same here... this process has become very long and frustrating... I applied almost two months ago (as soon as they opened the forms for filling out) and I still haven’t had any updates

Just a free professional advice. The whole process tests people on their patience too.

Desperation drives People into disturbing the adcom and it’s certainly not going to look good unless it has something to do with major changes in your application.

Patience y’all. If you don’t receive anything until the interview deadline, you can understand that the result is either going to be a waitlist or a reject.

I find this to be an ironic post because as a professional I would be given feedback for lack of communication.

It says clearly on their website that you should hear within 8 weeks, and that’s what wasn’t done. Just free professional advice, after 8 weeks it is irresponsible in a professional setting to keep your stakeholders waiting. It’s a potential $200k in tuition and fees, plus alumni funding you lose out on by detracting applicants.

It’s all part of their process. They have specific deadlines for a reason. If it’s going beyond the decision deadline, that’s lack of communication.


Don’t debate them, coz I just want to offer help on how the actions can be perceived.


And no one in the world finds this process more frustrating than admissions consultants, happens every year. And every year, same mistakes.

Be patient. Until it’s beyond the decision deadline, hold it.

Wanted to follow up with those who used EA for admissions in round 1. I received an interview invite this last Wednesday, 11/15. However, they only offered interviews for Nov 28-30th just FYI. My assumption is they are closing down the round 1 apps.
