Is something odd this year? Seems like they really had a tough time processing applications. Unlike last year, this year the decision came out much later. Also seems like more waitlists this year... And varunjogi - When did you submit your application?

Got a mail from admissions department stating that my application has been moved to round 2 due to high volume of applicaitons in this round. :( :(
Not sure if this is a courtesy mail to say that your application is rejected.

Hi,

I am applying in the second round and would like experts and people, who have been admitted/wait-listed to share their views on my profile:

10th: 70%
12th: 80%
Engg (Electronics and Communication, from an average college): 65%
GMAT: 730 (Q50, V40)
Work Ex: Have been working in Telecommunication field for last 6 years. 2 years in Pre-sales support role with Nokia Siemens Networks and since last 4 years in Technical Support role with Ciena.
Extracurricular: Certified mountaineer, was a member of College's Volleyball team and have represented college in national level tournaments, was a member of college's dance group and have won many inter college dance competitions.

I also have some entrepreneurial experience (although my venture failed).

Also, how should I shape my essays for a better chance? What are the points that I should emphasis on?
