Hi,

I am from India. Can you please help me with the following querries.

1) I reported my GMAT on 14th December,2015. But I did not get any confirmation from school whether they have recieved the report or not. I tried reaching them on email and I got automatic reply that they are on leave till 4th January. I want to submit my application before 4th Jan,2016. What should I do?
2) What is the minimum TOEFL requirenment for Toefl. What is the Toefl Code for Rice?

I am planning to apply to rice in round 2 (jan 4th).

All those who got admit, can u please support ?

Should we have to send official transcript (hard copy) to them ? then only will they let us know the decision ?

They will review our app with scanned copy but will let us know the decision only if they get our official transcript ? is it true ?

No, you don't need to send the hard copy of your transcript. They will release your final decision based on the scanned copy.

What about those who have attended QS MBA Tour ? does it give fee waiver to them ?

Thanks for the info guys but I wonder how many of you who are accepted actually got ~80% - full tuition fellowship? I heard that Rice is quite generous.

No, you don't need to send the hard copy of your transcript. They will release your final decision based on the scanned copy.

Wish I knew this before I submitted the official paper transcript. Would have saved some $$ :lol:
Their application instructions do state that they want an official one mailed, so I figured better safe than sorry.

Yes, you have heard it right. Quite a few admitted applicants have been offered generous scholarships. I've been offered 75% and I know one other who has received similar percentage.

Hello guys,
I am an indian applicant and wish to apply R2.

I have a small confusion. I was going through FAQ on Rice website. It says:
If you have completed an equivalent four-year degree but your GPA is not in the 4.0 GPA format, you must convert it to the 4.0 scale in order to enter your GPA accurately into the online application. To obtain an English credential translation (required) or evaluation (recommended), please contact one of the following companies:
Educational Credential Evaluators
SpanTran Educational Services
For a small fee, you can use an online tool to convert your G.P.A. to a 4.0 scale. You must fax, scan, or mail the printed GPA calculation that lists the grades and courses as you entered them.

Where on the application portal, I saw:
Do not recalculate GPA, and do not report if not printed on transcript.

1) What have others done? Do we need to convert it?
2) As far as I could understand, I do not need to send official transcripts now, uploads would be fine. Am I right?

The figure of admitted students in the latest intake is 200. Does this include waitlisted candidates?

I have been waitlisted at Rice.

Nothing here yet. I am also waiting. It seems like they got more apps than they expected in the first round, so that is possibly contributing to the delay.
