Hi All,

For international applicants in the team exercise cities, if you don't get an invite on the 15th (the first wave), does that mean you are automatically waitlisted or denied? Since getting an invite in wave II (Jan end) would be just before the team exercise and seems a bit late?

I can make two observations from Soojin's post:
1) Americans have not been invited in the first wave as their interview is scheduled between 1st and 22nd of Feb.
2) International students have an interview schedule between 18th Jan and 22nd Feb, and I dont see Ross giving 1 student 3 days to prepare for interview and other 5 weeks, plus Team exercise is optional.

My conclusion on this is, second wave will have international students alongside domestic with a caveat that the absolute numbers compared to wave 1 might be less.

So keep your hopes up!

I don't think so. I believe team exercise is optional otherwise all EU candidates can assume to be waitlisted/denied since there are no team exercise locations in EU. Anyway why speculate, wait till Jan end and you will find out.

I don't know, LiveWire seems to have some domestic invites. Also, from the blog post, I see "our locations outside of Ann Arbor" indicating to me that domestics probably need to go to Ann Arbor for the exercise...

The official blog about the interview invites for Round - 2 was as follows:
The new year is off to a great start. We’ve been busy reviewing apps, trying to get through as many as we can to extend our first wave of interview invitations by Friday, January 15. The second and final wave of invitations will be sent by end of January.

It says, the second and final wave of invitations

(so, total three waves). Am i interpreting it right???

No, to me it indicates 2 waves, and the second is the final wave.

Yes... even last year many Indian (and other International) students had received invites in 2nd wave. The team exercise is not compulsory plus invites will mostly start rolling by 25th-26th. So hopefully enough time to make it to the team exercise in Mumbai.

Hi Prateek,

Last year which round had 2 waves? I was going through last year Ross' threads on GMAT Club and ClearAdmit Livewire, I could not confirm 2 waves in R1 or R2.

Cannot seem to understand if my application is still untouched/under process/rejected without interview ? The status is 'submitted'. will there be a change in my application status if the Adcom performs some activity? The anxiety is killing me... :shock:

No there won't be any change in the website status till decision day. It will stay as "submitted" (source : applied to Ross twice). However you might be invited to interview when Ross sends out it's final wave of interview invites, which should happen sometime soon.

Thanks for the reply... Another thing which I just realized after reading through posts : (extract from website)

"International Student Funding Options

A no-cosigner loan is available to MBA and Masters of Supply Chain Management international students. In addition, many countries provide loans or scholarships specific to their citizens. Download a list of funding options for international students. The University of Michigan does not endorse any specific program.

International students in the Full-Time MBA Program are considered for Ross scholarships (see “Scholarships” section above)."


So....has Ross stopped providing loans to International students without a us cosigner...? This is a big deal. As an alternative, how reliable is prodigy finance etc? Or what are the scholarship opportunities?

Cleare admit shows that 2nd wave of invites have started from 20th Jan onwards... and there are 2 Indian students in the list. So I guess 2nd wave invites are officially out
