Hello Everyone,

This is my very first post. I applied to Rotman on Round 3 (Feb 27th) and got an interview invitation on March 3th. I had the interview on March 6th (face-to face in Lima) and I got a phone call from Rotman this afternoon. Got accepted.

Unlike Ser610, I do not have an outstading profile but I think the rest of the application (essays, letters, etc) did it job.

Experience: 5 years on Telecom and IT Companies

TOEFL: 102

Hello Everyone,

Feedback probably means: Accept, Reject, or Waitlist.

Done with my interview yesterday. Lasted 30 min. Don't know if that's good or bad. Was told I will get a feedback by the end of this week. Looks like they will be wrap up round 3 applications by 14th.

Hi Gauravmalik,

It's actually surprising that you were denied with such a great profile. Looking at your other application decisions, I guess you will need to review your applications so far and try to find out the reasons for the denials. If you feel you put in a great application, then you can look at your interview techniques. Try to reflect on those experiences that have defined you in your career and build on them as you answer the typical MBA questions.

I'm not an expert, but I got the sense, during my interviews, that they typically want to know you and how you handle various situations that speak to your collaborative and leadership skills.

Waitlisted with interview. Got the email today. A little disappointing but I think my GPA is the main reason for this. I applied with the CFA exemption so I didn't even have my GMAT score available at the time of application.

Anyone know how often waitlisted applicants get in?

Hopefully I can do better on my GMAT rewrite and send that off. Good luck to everyone else.

Hey. Can you share your profile? I am still waiting for a decision. They said by the end of this week. From my interview I came to know that their career center is looking for candidates with finance experience. Apparently a lot of people were moving towards strategy. So the decisions are likely to be skewed towards finance guys.

Ah that might explain the decision. Yeah I submitted my application with strategy as my goal. Maybe I should've said finance instead :P
I work in Toronto in finance/software looking to move to the strategy side. So I kind of have experience in finance, but it's not pure finance like ER/IB etc.

Yeah. But please don't take my views for it. It's what I FELT. People from this round of applications will be given a month to accept. That is May 14. So depending on any rejections (by people offered admission) your profile will be considered. So it's all luck mate. Nothing wrong your part.

Wow really? That's insane. You have a pretty good profile. I wonder if it's because you simply applied too late. Maybe their WL is already too long for international applicants and there weren't enough spots left in the program. But who knows.

Yes. Two things. One was that I applied late. And second my goals were unrealistic. Especially within Canadian job market. If it was New york, my goals would have made sense. I dint do my research properly. I have learnt my lesson. I will not repeat the same mistake with Ivey/queens
