Any interview invites? Any admits?

Why is the thread so awfully quiet.....

People are trying not to freak out! :(

Had my interview earlier. Some questions were really interesting/unexpected, eg.
- what will be your legacy at Rotman
- how did you come to learn about Rotman (Part of me wonders why they asked this. Do they think its weird I'm applying? I'm trying not to read too much into things)
- most measurable impact in your career
- walk through resume and explain why you made the choices you did
- tell me about a time you used networking
- what class would you teach, teach it in 2 minutes
- where else are you applying

Some others I can't recall. I liked my interviewer and really hope the feeling was mutual :-)

My advice for potential interviewees: overprepare :) And make sure you have questions at the end to ask.

I don't know if I overprepared, I do think I prepared a lot for questions I wasn't asked. I don't think they asked me more than 1-2 questions I had been expecting. Time will tell whether it was good enough.

Hi all! Just a general tip from me, as someone who has now come to the end of the process with Rotman...if you're looking for tips on the application process or interview tips then please take the time to review every page on this forum topic!! It may seem daunting but the information shared by others proved invaluable for me, especially during the interview process. Scan through each page and you may surprise yourself at what you find! Depending on what stage you're at in the whole process, there'll be people who potentially have already completed a phase before you and have already shared their experience! This would obviously then help you as you go along.

With this in mind, I second Aaliyah537's point to overprepare :) e.g. through each post by someone who has gone through the interview process, I'm sure you'll be able to get an idea of what sort of questions you'll face once you reach interview day.

Just a personal note to Aaliyah537 and KPMBA. Thank you both for sharing your prior experiences on here! They were pivotal as I went through the application process and how I prepared in my run up to the interview!

Sure. I am from a finance background. Education and work ex. from both US and India. College GPA of 3.98/4.00, graduating with highest distinction. Have worked in investment banking and now venture capital (including firms such as Barclays and Fidelity). Have a 730 on my GMAT (I know, could have been better). Extra curriculars-wise - do a lot of volunteer work focused around teaching and life skills (impacted 42 lives personally) and have played basketball at state level. Was also a teaching assistant in college and am a certified first aider.

From what I have been hearing, their decision/interview invite release is very random.

Few people who were interviewed were given their decisions in as less as 7 days
and some have been waiting for a decision for as long as a month and a half!

The select few have been advised to wait till 15th of December(their official decision release date)
