Hey y'all:

I applied on Feb 1, interviewed March 2, and today got the admission decision-- admitted with GA. Wanted to make sure everyone had the info they needed.

Are you an international applicant? I applied on 30 Jan, interviewed on 18 Feb, and am still waiting for the decision. I'm getting worried.
Hi there, me too! I had my interview on 16th of Feb, yet still havent got any feedback yet. :( Who took your interview?

It looks like we will finally get the responses from the adcom next week.

Its been almost three weeks for me. I should just lose hope of getting into smeal.

I was interviewed on 18 Feb.
By the way the results will be out on 1 April. So dont lose hope yet.

The typical questions that I was asked were:

1- Walk me through your career progression till date. Why Smeal and not any other B School, why now, why you?
2- Give an example of team work where you made an impact? What are your core strengths.
3- What are the qualities that you look for in a team member? What would a team member say about you?
4- What makes you stand out in your group?
5- Explain your job role to me?
6- Give an example of ethical dilemma that you faced.

Then the interview became quite conversational and we went on to talk about a few alums and current students. Stacey was very friendly and even referred me to a current alum. That was nail in the coffin moment i guess.

Um not a regular poster, but i find this thread really useful; so thought of sharing my experience.
Submitted application in Feb
Interviewed on 9th March
Today i got admit from Smeal along with Graduate assistant ship.
They sent me two mails, one stating admit and other stating assistant ship. The point I am writing this is that in case you didn't get any news yet then have patience coz you might be getting mail any time soon.

Is there anyone else here in this position?
Would be great if someone helped me understand the chances of a waitilist being converted to an admit..

Deb have you been admitted or interviewed yet. If so you can put this question to the adcom/ your interviewer. If the above does not apply, then I would suggest you wait. Since, Apr-Jul is a very very busy time for the grad school they take time to respond.
In addition you should check your spam and other folders. If you still have not received any mail, ask the adcom/mba program coordinator if people have been invited to the interview for the 1 April deadline yet.

Anyways, cheers buddy. Things will work out fine for you.
