There is not going to be an exact amount of time for getting back to you... They do, however, try to get decisions out very quickly and definitely by the deadline.

For me the process was:
Apply Jan 15
Interview Feb 14
Accepted Feb 17 (less than a week turnaround)

I believe there are no set video interview questions. As stated on the admissions page, you need to access the website which will randomly generate and record your responses.

Actually I guess what people wanna know is, the ones who submitted the application - what questions did you answer?
I mean exactly what questions. Probably that will give an idea to the rest of the folks what to expect. at least what kind of questions to expect.

I do not remember the exact questions that I got. But it was on the lines of "what is your favourite book? and why ?"; what do you do in your free time ?, describe your personality. It could be any randomly generated question. Purpose of this is to test your communication, i.e. fluency in English. So relax.

Hi, Please did you submit any video essay? I was not prompted to submit any video essay....

There is a large variety of questions. The point of these questions is to see how you handle pressure, how you follow instructions, and how your communication skills are. They try to throw a curve at you, they don't care what your response is, they care how you react under a stressful situation.

I submitted mine 3 months ago but can't remember them exactly. Just have confidence. My curve ball question was which song describes your work ethic. Is there a right or wrong answer to this? absolutely not, I said "whistle while you work" from the Disney movie Snow White because if you can learn to enjoy your work you can be happy with any job and excel in your work place. I said that I try to make my work fun like the 7 dwarves. They aren't looking for a right and wrong answer, they want to see you squirm for half a second and come up with a quick intelligent response.

I got my Skype interview done yesterday with Stacey. She was nice.It lasted 40mins and in the end she said the result would come out before Apr.1st.
I am sure I am going to be dinged since not satisfied with my own performance at all. Just want to encourage and say good luck to others. Smeal is a nice school.
