any advice on the interview? (apart from the official 'be yourself' line)

be yourself!

just kidding...try to stick with what you wrote in your essays, the interviewer will write about you but he hasn't read your application, so adcom will cross match his reviews with the impression you're giving on paper, so these means that they are already interested in you on paper, just stick to yourself during the interview...and try to give the same impression adcom already has of you...

thanks. i guess i gotta go back read my application.

for the ones that are still waiting, they are still sending out interview invitations... there is still hope!

Re: the post below, I have to concur... I've posted this message on this thread a few separate times but it bears repeating: I have seen invites go out on the final day of GSB's interview range every single year for the past few years. That is WHY it's the final date of the range they give -- they are actively sending out invites in batches up through that day. So everyone should be holding out hope. I've had clients accepted to the GSB who were invited to interview on the last day, so I hope that makes everyone breathe a little easier.

The wait is almost over!

GOOD LUCK!

_____

Folks, I don't mean to inflate/deflate anyone's hopes for getting an interview invitation from GSB, but there's no evidence to suggest that Stanford is deviating from a previously established pattern of sending emails through the final day. Fluctuations in postings on GMATClub and ClearAdmit's LiveWire can reflect any number of factors, none of which have yielded enough data for us to rightfully expect stability year-to-year. Although there may not be many invitations sent in the final week, there's no reason to exaggerate the "hopelessness" of the situation.

If you haven't heard from GSB yet, you're no more/less likely to get an email/ding than you were on the day you submitted your application. Get ready to interview with GSB, or to get your MBA somewhere else, or to continue your career. Despair doesn't help you, and spreading it online doesn't help anyone else.[/quote]

Thanks Erika, so essentially we'll see a large bulk of the invitations on the last day, correct?

I think the key is that there will be be invitations going out everyday up till the last day. It would be hard for anyone to predict whether it would be a large bulk. Stay positive!

Just finished my interview. It was a very very very casual conversation, last an hour. We could have chatted longer, the she said GSB had strict time restraint for them. No out of the ordinary questions, why Stanford? Why now? Why MBA? And some questions with my background and how it relates to my post MBA goal. I'm glad it's out of the way, now more waiting for me. Good luck to everyone who is still working on the interview or invites.

My interviewer has already submitted her review (interviews 5 hours ago). Got an acknowledge from GSB that my application is complete, and all I can do now is wait!

Just got an invite at 12 EST. I submitted on November 30th so I don't know if they read by submission order. I am a college senior.

Stanford has one of the smallest class sizes, so no, I don't think there will be a "large bulk" going out tomorrow as there just aren't that many spots they're looking to fill. I know some invites went out today because of comments on this board and one of my clients receiving one a few hours ago. I would bet that a few more go out tomorrow, along with the release letters. How many exactly is impossible for anyone outside of the adcom to say, unfortunately.

Best of luck to everyone in the next 24 hours!

I thought they "continue issuing invitations until a week before the decision notification date for that round" which is March 30th. So the week before would be the 23rd? Did I read that wrong?

Yes, unfortunately I believe you did read that incorrectly... that's only how they handle invites for Round 3 per their page here:

http://www.gsb.stanford.edu/programs/mb ... interviews

For Rounds 1 and 2 they gave a specific end date of a four-week period after your application was complete, and for Round 2 I am pretty positive it was something like Feb 7 - March 8. So tomorrow is the last day.

Best of luck!
