I missed a call from UCLA and got a voice-mail asking me to call back.... am I in? I guess I have to wait till the morning....

I just need to be told (like an idiot) that they don't call rejected students because holy **** my nerves right now.

Yes, I believe so! Congrats! According to the UCLA blog post, your status should change early tomorrow morning.

I got the call today and was admitted with a scholarship! I am so excited!!

Canadian applicant
Submitted R2: January 7th
Invited to interview: January 13th
Interviewed: January 29th
Application completed (they received my undergrad transcript): February 10th

I had my interview by end of January, however, they received my academic transcripts only the 21st of February... Application completed by then. Hope this could be the reason why I did not get the call yet..... :| :oops:

Had my R2 interview today morning.
It was very conversational And straightforward.
He introduced himself first and then asked --
Tell me about yourself
A bit more about present role
why mba when its going so well in work
leadership experience
conflict situation
why UCLA
how will you contribute
and then he let me ask few questions. It was a great experience. Hoping for positive outcome this time though I forgot to mention about my recent promotion.. :/

I have a question. I got my invite on 1/21 and did my interview via Skype on 2/9. Since people who did their interview the same day as me got admits yesterday, can I assume that I was either waitlisted or denied? Is that how it worked in R1?

I'm going to guess that, no, you should not interpret it as a wait-list or denial. I got my invite on 1/13 and did my interview 1/22ish and my application was marked complete when I checked on 1/25. A bunch of people with interview dates after mine got admit decisions on 2/13 and I didn't hear anything until today. (In with Fellowship btw. SO EXCITED.).

I'm going to guess it literally has to do with when everything is marked as done => put on someone's desk => read by someone => marked as read in the computer system etc.

All the best to everyone still waiting!

Thanks. I answered my own question looking at last year's thread. For those who included dates, the majority were admitted but only about half of those heard anything my mid-March. It had nothing to do with when they received an invite or what industry they were in.

Did anyone get accepted WITHOUT being called? The blog post wasn't exactly clear if everyone would get a call or not...just that there would be an email going out this morning for those with an early decision. Has anyone (called or not called) gotten an email this morning?

Just trying to figure out if I should stop refreshing my inbox this morning ;) It's just about 8am over in LA, so I'm trying to decide if that constitutes "first thing" this morning.

I am still waiting, but I'm not holding my breath for anything. I believe all dings will be sent out April 2nd. Only early acceptances are sent out now. Everyone else will find out on April 2nd.

Didn't hear anything today or yesterday. For the benefit of anyone in the same boat, my dates:

Jan 7 - Submitted
Jan 14 - Invited
Jan 20 - Interviewed (Skype)
Feb 20 - App marked complete (transcript took forever to mail from overseas)

...still waiting.
