Can anyone with more information on the admissions process shed any light on why they'd be doing it this way? It seems as though they may miss out on some great applicants by waiting so long.

It gives them more time to process applications, and also let's them see what yield really looks like from R1-- info they can use to further shape the class in R2.

Yeah it really is a balancing act for them - they have to weigh the benefits of giving offers when the entire pool has been assessed against potential yield problems. Their approach would suggest reports of increased application numbers are true... worrying...

For those of you who interviewed, how long did it take for your official transcript to be marked as received in the portal? It's been three weeks since I had it sent but I haven't gotten any confirmation

I interviewed on the Jan 25th and my transcripts were marked as received on Feb 12th. It took a little less than 3 weeks to be marked, as I hand-delivered them.
Good luck!

Mine took a little over two weeks, and I sent via mail. Definitely seems normal to take 2-3 weeks, I don't think it's anything to worry about yet.

That's both great news and rather nerve wracking! Do you know any details about them ie. region they're in, when they interviewed etc.?

Both Admits on Clearadmit appear to be in the Far East. Sounds sensible from a time difference perspective.

For those who got admitted, how long did you wait until you got an official offer letter? Will it be updated on the portal?
