Hello everyone!
Mason is my number one choice but since the R1 of 2019 intake is drawing close now and I sill haven't seen any thread for this year so I'll go ahead and make a thread so that all of us can discuss and share admissions process, admissions decisions, networking and so on.

Archived 'Calling All Mason Applicants' Topic
Hi there,
You've reached an old 'Calling All Mason Applicants' discussion which is now
outdated and has been archived. No more replies are possible here.
Thank you all. I got the news yesterday. I interviewed on 19-Jan. But with the scholarship offered, it's hard for me to enroll into Mason though I really like the school.

Hey hongtuyet,
The two links below talk about international student loans. Hope you find them useful.

When I interviewed the head of career services at Mason said you should always try to negotiate. She was talking about job offers, but that mindset applies to many other aspects of life (including grad school admissions, imo). Contacting the office can't hurt, and if you have better scholarship offers from comparable or more competitive schools, be sure to cite them.
Thank you so much for your suggestions. As international student, it will be big risk to take large amount of loan. I will try negotiating with the school.
I know 2 people from my country were offered full scholarship in R1 but they turned down the offers to go for other schools. I was hoping that we'd have more chance, but well...
