I interviewed yesterday and internet wrecked havoc on it, so after my identification verification we switched onto telephonic interview.
It was very conversational. My interviewer told me that it was a blind interview and that she had not read my application.
She asked me not take her through my resume but about a recent change in my work which was on my resume. This was followed by Qs about my strengths, weaknesses, career aspirations, alternate plans, and Why Vanderbilt? The discuss centered very much on my career plans and how does Vanderbilt fit into it. Somehow our conversation went into discussing food and masala chai (I work with a F&B FMCG co.). I asked couple of question in the end.
I have interviewed with a few other school and can say that this interview was unlike others. I felt comfortable expressing myself and the interviewer went on great lengths do make the process of interviewing really conversational.
Good luck to everyone who is interviewing! Do post your experience and update your "School Stats" so that the changes are reflected on the first page of the forum.
