I am applying to UBC Sauder full-time MBA program. I had a query with regards to the recommendation letters. I am an entrepreneur and have been managing my start-up for the past 2 years. In my case, who would be an ideal referee? Would a recommendation from a client and another from a partner be accepted? Your feedback is highly appreciated.

Hi Abhisu30,
you can choose anyone as a referee who has interacted with you quite often in a professional setup and can therefore talk about your professional capabilities. I think the referees you mentioned should be accepted. I have heard of candidates using their clients as referees. However, to be absolutely sure shoot an email to the adcom. They will be more than happy to help you out.
I got an interview invitation yesterday. Scheduled it on 1st December. I have my interview scheduled with Katerina Bardakjian. Anybody interviewed by her. Please share the interview experience.
3.5 years working experience in Singapore in automotive, GMAT 730, Q50 V38 GPA: 3.4/4.0 (after conversion from 5.0 scale) Submitted Nov 1st, interviewed Nov 13rd.
The interview focused very much on the career prospect, if you have identified what you want to do and what you want to be. Also, typical questions as why MBA, why Sauder, why Vancouver and behavioral questions on your team work, leadership, strengths and weakness.
