Received admission offer from Sauder. But can not decide where to go for MBA, Sauder or Schulich. Can anyone please shed some light on which is better? The pros and cons seem to cancel each other out.

Hey Suranjana,

That depends on your major and target industry. Also, Sauder, i guess, will cater to the market in western part of Canada. Shulich opens up more opportunities as it is in Toronto. Huge market there and loads of opportunities. But I have seen a few cases where Sauder graduates are working in Toronto, but that is an exception. That is all I can come up with. :) :),, and what about scholarship? are you getting any from either one?

No scholarships no. :)
Thanks for responding, I'm curious about the Western Part of Canada bit. Do they not have good job opportunities for MBA graduates?

Schulich is any day better than Sauder. I had an admit from Saunder 2 years back I deferred it and subsequently didn't matriculate from there. I have a lot of frineds who graduated from there and they all say unanimously that job prospects are meager in the western part of Canada. On the other hand Schulich on the east coast where opportunities are more than enough! Rest is for you to decide! Choose wisely

Hi, if you could be a little more specific, it will be easier to help. For written essays (or rather answer to the Application questions), there is no set format.
For the video essay, you can find a lot of examples on youtube. It helped me create my essay.

Hi, Congrats to all of you who got admits.
I submitted my application on 6th Dec. So guys, if you could help me on letting me know how long does it usually take them to review the applications. Am a bit apprehensive now on my chances.

It takes them 4-6 weeks to get back to the applicant. :)

Thanks Prateek! I had an interview with Jennifer Chan on 28th Nov. Received the offer after 10 days.

Hey Debashish,

I have an interview scheduled with Jenny Chan; I'm assuming that's the same person you had an interview with. Could you tell me about your experience with her and some questions she asked during your session? Many thanks.

Hey guys...got an admit from Sauder and accepted the offer. Vancouver always interested me more than Toronto. :P

Congratulations! We're excited to welcome you to UBC and Vancouver.
You'll receive an email from us soon, but in the meantime, if you have any questions, reach out to the Student Experience Team.

We also recommend that since you've accepted your Offer of Admission early, this may be a good time to look at where you could be living.
Also, when possible, come say hi! Happy to have you on board.

Hi guys

I submitted my application since 5th of Jan and until now I haven't heard from the school. Should I worry or this is normal?
Has anyone gotten an interview in R2?

Thank you so much

Same here, though it's only been 2 weeks since the R2 deadline so I am not panicking (yet)!

I just received an e-mail saying that my application was incomplete (it was missing my Master degree certificate) and that it will just start to be reviewed now. I guess I will have to be patient a little longer... crossing fingers! :)
