Hi-I was wondering what you think my chances are for Emory this fall? I hope to apply Round 1 and maybe Round 2

Indian-American 25 years old
Degree: Healthcare Administration w/ minor in Business Administration (also completed pre-med)
GPA: 3.36 (with significant upward trend i.e. 3.7 gpa junior and senior year)
GRE (159 Q 158 V)
Experience: 3 years in rotational leadership program at one of the worlds biggest pharma companies (Sales, Marketing Analytics & R&D Portfolio Management)...I just got a promotion as an associate manager in a strategy role at same firm
Extras: Founded a healthcare leaders club in college and continue to mentor, also volunteer for habitat for humanity helping build houses

Thanks!

Hey nsubhedar ,

Being the current student 1st year student of Emory, I am happy to help. :-)

Looking at your profile, I think you have pretty good chance at Emory if you showcase the best story and goals.

Try to get the best essays and interview and you are done!

Good Luck :-)

@nsubhedar my response below

Indian-American 25 years old
Degree: Healthcare Administration w/ minor in Business Administration (also completed pre-med)

GRE (159 Q 158 V)

Honestly, I think you should increase your test score before applying, this score would be acceptable if you are extremely diverse but being Indian, that is not the case.

The rest of your application looks promising but would require a deeper dive to know for sure, to really assess if you have good stories that reflect teamwork, problem solving in leadership.

The extra-curricular activities are definitely helpful, that's a way to separate you from many other Indian Americans.

However you are young, and you have a little bit of time to play with here and if I were you I would strive to get the best test score you can on either test and make a decision from that place.

Thanks!
