Hi
Gaurika24 I am intrigued with your profile. There are not a lot of applicants who are financial reporters, working for Reuters. Interesting. Hopefully you ca connect some dots between that and your current goal; do you have any experience in luxury? I also did my undergrad in Econ and worked in print media for 4 years post MBA in media research and marketing communication.
The schools that are known for luxury are not all the same as those known for entrepreneurship; some are the same some are not. Are you interested in the US or Europe? Most luxury programs are in Europe: LBS, HEC, ESSEC. Bocconi. In the US, there is the NYU Stern 1-year MBA for that and not much else - UCLA is also an option, Kellogg is the primary school here for brand management but not necessarily luxury. Maybe CBS as well.
Keep in mind it is very tough to get a job here in marketing, are you planning to return?
Would hope that you get a score closer to 730. Focus on schools where your score is 20 points over the class average. Your GPA is not awesome so the GMAT; given that your work experience is less quant oriented you want to put up a good showing on quant on the test; show you can hit the ground running.

Hi,
My name is Gaurika Juneja. I am a 24 year old Indian female currently running my own startup.
I have an undergraduate degree in Economics from Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies, Mumbai, India. I worked for Thomson Reuters for 3 years in Reuters News as a business and finance journalist covering U.S. equities and companies news. While at Reuters, I started my own direct-to-consumer retail company called Azure Cersei -
https://www.instagram.com/the_azure_official/?hl=enMy company mostly deals in retail consumer products ranging from shoes to jewelry, and as of now I am selling within India and exporting to Canada and US.
Learning more about entrepreneurship and marketing is my primary motivation for applying to B schools. My post MBA goals would be entrepreneurship or a placement in a luxury and retail company.
I am retaking the GMAT in a couple of weeks, currently scoring between 710-730 in mocks. I have a GPA of 3.09.
I would appreciate some advice on the colleges I should consider applying to, based on my profile.
Thanks in advance!
