I'm not sure what kind of Asian you are, but if you are Chinese or otherwise over-represented any type of diversity in your profile is going to be very helpful.
As you pointed out, it's really a qualitative thing though. Ideally you would have a job abroad that would showcase your leadership teamwork and problem-solving skills, in a more complex environment because you're working abroad.
And that those achievements will be something you can indicate on a resume, or experiences that you could speak to Via recommendation letters.
It's not really a check the box kind of a thing you want to leverage this to show you are more diverse than the Sea of Asian competitors.

Hello,
I am an Asian-American engineer at a Fortune 100 aerospace company and I was wondering how impactful an international experience would be for my candidacy? The international experience would have to be in Asia, the U.K., or Australia because I am only fluent in 2 languages.
I understand that what I do and the responsibilities I have are more important than simple international experience, but I would like to know - given a progressing amount of responsibilities and possibly one or two promotions in the future 5 years - how impactful international experience in the aerospace industry as an engineer would be.
I would appreciate any and all information. Thanks in advance.
