Hi, I'm thinking of giving GMAT from my country of citizenship only. Do I require a passport on test day ?

Yes you require passport irrespective you give exam anywhere. Passport is a mandatory document for verification without which you can't even sit for exam. You have to have your valid passport with you for your exam. With other significant documents. List of which you can find on MBA.com

Fo an Indian citizen, passport is the only valid ID to book the GMAT slot. Pl make sure it hasn't expired.

You must need valid passport for taking the exam. Even if you have expired passport, the authority will not permit you to take the exam!

Yes, your understanding is right. I knocked to the test center. They said: i must carry valid passport.
