Rivalei
Hi everyone,
I have just started studying for GMAT about 2 weeks ago and have just taken my first official mock [540, Q41,V24].
This will be the first time I will be sitting for the GMAT paper and hopefully my last one. (I am looking to get a score within 680).
From my current score, I can clearly see that I would need to brush up on both my quantitative and verbal section and would like to know how to best go about doing it. I have previously purchased the GMATClub premium and therefore have another 7 Veritas Prep to be taken along the way.
Would it be beneficial for me to purchase the GMATClub test and work through the Qbank topic by topic?
Thank you.
Regards
Rivalei
Hi Rivalei,
If you GC premium offers you something which will help with the concepts and the methodology, then it is fine. But if it doesn't and you just want to rely on practicing questions and taking mocks, then I don't think it's a good way to approach your prep. There is a certain step-by-step process in which you approach GMAT preparation. Let me help you with that.
- Learn the concepts (Deal with one topic at a time)
- Learn the methodology to solve questions of that topic (Most important)
- Solidify your learning by practicing a few questions of that topic
- Take timed quizzes to get used to the timed constraint
- Move to the next topic and repeat the process
So the first thing you need to do is to make a proper study plan with clear deadlines. As you are planning to take GMAT in 50 days, your study plan has to be precise and help you focus on the right areas. If you face any challenges in creating the study plan, feel free to contact me or a better way would be to get your personalized study plan by signing up for the free trial of
GMATWhiz. Make sure that you do not jump into solving questions right after learning the concepts. Learning the methodology plays the most important role in your journey of GMAT prep.
Hope it helped!! Feel free to get in touch if you have any more queries. All the best
