I managed to get through to the US number of GMAC. They said your query is being reviewed and I should get a response in 3-5 business days, so I am expecting a response this week. Will post here what happens.

Hey Guys,

Something similar happened with me.

My exam was on 30th May, ESS browser perfectly installed, all system checks in place.
But the Browser just didn't launch well enough to take me to the GMAT Online interface.I am using my Old MACBOOK PRO for the same.

Have written to GMAC 2 days back. Still waiting to hear back.

Although EXAMITY have reverted to me mentioning the exam could not be undertaken due to technical issues and appointment is incomplete.

In case you happen to hear back, pls share. I shall also do so once i get any update from GMAC.

Hello guys. I had another technical issue with GMAT Online.
I took the exam on 17 July and confirmed with Examity that my exam was successfully completed. (The auditor have already approved my exam.)
However, my account status classifies my attempt as a "technical error". Have anyone experienced the same issue? I emailed Customercare but no reply so far. I am still waiting for the official score report, but I’m a bit worried GMAC might cancel my score.

And again yesterday i tried attempting GMAT online again, the same issue. ESS browser loads 100% and then nothin happens. My system meets all the standard requirements, INternet speed over 100 MBPS ( Ethernet cable).

ANy idea if GMAC could refund my fee altogether, coz i am done with this online thing. Will only prefer to go for a center based exam now.

P.S. I know so far GMAC has only issued vouchers to retake online exam. Asking if there's a possibility to get a voucher for the center based exam, instaed.

Did you get a resolution? If so, were you able to schedule another slot for within 2 weeks of original exam?

I had a similar issue today and at first Examity told me that my photo is not uploaded so I need to 'pay again and schedule another exam'. On showing them that I have confirmation from them that everything is okay with my account, they started saying that it's my internet issue (It was 120 MBPS). After dragging things for 2 hours they said that the link has expired so it cannot be activated now and I need to contact GMAT and get a new one scheduled. On my GMAT account it's showing that I was a 'No Show' to my exam.

AN Update from My end: GMAC has refunded my Online exam fee and now i am all set to appear for an In Center Exam. Hope it helps someone :)

I had an exam scheduled today - 15th August , 11AM IST. The system test and ESecure browser were running appropriately just before to the exam (the same has been verified by the proctor).

During the Tutorial session, the ESecure Browser got stuck a couple of times and I raised the issue with the Proctor. Further, when the exam started, initially I was unable to select the answer for the 1st question (I solved it within 1 minute) and once selected, the browser froze again for 2 minutes and I was unable to move to the next question. Net - net I wasted 2-3 minutes marking the question because of the browser issue.

I also raised the issue with the Proctor who mentioned that the system takes time to load. Further, when I was answering the 2nd question, I was unable to even select the answer and on top right of the screen, it was showing as Question No. 3 of 31 (as against Question 2 which I was answering). Clearly, I was a bug at the browser/system's end. On raising this issue again with the Proctor, he paused my exam, and asked me to close the ESecure Browser and re-launch the exam.

Even when the exam was re-launched, the browser wasn't working appropriately and the time was running. The Proctor suggested to check the internet speed - which was working pretty good @ 40 MBPS (both upload and download - much more than what is required).

The entire browser glitch consumed 10 minutes and ultimately, I ended up answering not even 2 questions in 10 minutes whereas it should have taken less than 2 minutes if there was no system glitch. Witnessing the ESecure browser's operations, I requested the Proctor to cancel my exam as in a competitive and adaptive exam like GMAT one cannot afford to lose 8 crucial minutes due to the system's bug.

To be frank, I never imagined I would have to go through this mental stress while taking the exam online because of the bug at the system's end. It was a very bad experience and I do not wish to re-take my exam in a panic driven mode again and to undergo so much stress without any reason.

While I have written to GMAC to initiate refund, yet to hear back from them. I have rescheduled the exam to be delivered in centre.

Has anyone received three refund?

OMG Even I had my GMAT Online today, and I faced the exact same issue. I wonder why a company like GMAT isn't taking prompt action when there are so many similar complaints. I also don't want to face such horrible experience again and would certainly go for in-centre test .

Did you continue with your exam? Or you asked them to cancel it?

No, I asked the proctor to cancel the exam as the lag(2-5 min approx) was so bad that in 33 minutes had answered 6 verbal questions only.It was impossible to complete the exam even if I made blind guesses. Did you hear back from GMAC? Actually, I had reached out to examity. They suggested me to contact GMAC as GMAC can only reschedule or refund.

I had this issue happen to me on 4th August. Examity asked me as well to contact GMAC through their webpage. The form on the Contact Us page though sends an email to Pearson Vue even if you select GMAT Online exam issue. I got a response from them on 7th Aug saying Pearson Vue does not handle online exams so I should write to GMAC. I wrote to GMAC customer care service email ID on 7th August itself and haven't yet received a response from them. I even sent a reminder mail but there has been no response at all. It's been a terrible experience. Thankfully, I was able to get an offline center booking for 9th August which I booked and took the exam so I at least have a score to use but I have practically paid twice the amount to get that and haven't yet got a chance to take the exam for that second time.

What score did you get?
Write to gmac, they will reply in a week or so

I got a 770 on the offline. The only slot I could find was 8 AM and I sleep until noon. Luckily my pace is good so I could get a good score at that time.

I have written to GMAC since 6th August (just checked email) and then a follow-up on 13th August. Haven't heard back yet.


Edit: Updated on 20th Aug - Received email saying the refund has been processed.

I too had this terrible experience yesterday, I also asked for reschedule and have written mail to Pearson and raised issue on GMAT page. But has anybody got any resolution? How long should I wait for response?
