Isnt this a hacked website? GMAC is an international organization and there are three huge bugs on their most important announcement article:

https://www.gmac.com/exams/gmat-online/ ... quirements System requirements page not found

https://www.gmac.com/frequently-asked-q ... ng-my-exam technical issues page not found

https://service.proctorcam.com/system_t ... ystem_test "we are sorry but something went wrong"

am I the only one experiencing this?

Can you take the test on an iPad and use the Apple pencil on the online board?

Well this is unacceptable, now for the exam one has to invest in apple pencil and tablet?

Tbh I did not think that GMAC would allow home-tests in the first place! The fact that it is still an option is a step forward. Some schools are accepting submission of application forms with the option to take GMAT at a later date. People might want to consider that option?

As far as switching to GRE is concerned, I think by the time you prepare to give the GRE, the chances of lock-down to cease and normalcy to return is high.

Tablets are prohibited. Touch screens are also prohibited. Your investment comment is irrelevant

I don’t think many will register to this online format. This is scrappy.

Who has a strict deadline by their target school for his application, like me, will

Edit: the deadline from my target school is at end of June, paradoxically speaking I don't know whether it's more convenient to risk a low gmat score with this online version or to risk not make it on time with the application, waiting after 15 of June

Even if some universities are claiming they will consider applications with no GMAT, I am honestly afraid they will nevertheless prefer applicants who provide a GMAT/GRE score. It makes sense to me unfortunately.

At this point, for those who are forced to take the online GMAT due to approaching deadlines, I think our only chance is to try convincing them to allow us to take notes and take the 8-minute break, by participating to the 17 April webinar and by contacting them via social media or somehow else.

The only rational explanation I can think of for this behaviour from GMAC’s side is: They believe the online test provides the unfair advantage of one’s home-turf, and are thus tightening up the screws on every other aspect of the test so as to make it miserable and impossible.

I have some questions I hope some of you will Be able to clarify:
1) What happens if one loses internet connection mid way through?
2) Is GMAC going to release an official “trial” version of this whiteboard?
3) How is one to answer geometry questions without reproducing the image? and more importantly, how is one supposed to adapt to this new tool and figure out not just how to write but also how to draw on it?
4) Why do the scores come after 1 week? Why am I not allowed the chance to cancel them after viewing?
5) Not a question, just wanted to say that 200$ for this is really a joke

I was really looking forward to this from GMAC’s end but it looks like some of us have to proceed with past scores.

I’ve gone over the thread but was unable to find an answer to Q1

Reg. Q2 Is that the official whiteboard that GMAC will use?

Q3&4 were mostly rhetoric! Want to understand all of your perspectives and if you see the merit in writing this version of the exam

I would say the worst thing is the online whiteboard. Everything else is managable

Fully agree so I put it twice. Maybe should put it three times.

After all my prep for months. Looking at online white board only seriously weakens my chances of scoring higher. Nightmares !!! On choosing GMAT.

Considering to wait until physical GMAT opens. Damm man !!

From their website it seems the online whiteboard is embedded in the online exam software, where there's an item to click and it will pop up.
So not sure if they will provide it separately for practice purposes.
