Hi there,
For context, I took the GRE 4 years ago and am trying to apply to Round 2 this cycle (I'm only looking to apply to HBS/GSB/Wharton). I'm scheduled to take the GMAT next week but am starting to stress out as my quant score seems to be moving inversely to the amount of studying I'm putting in.
My GRE score from 4 years ago was a 79th percentile Quant and 98th percentile Verbal. Currently, my Veritas Practice GMAT scores range in 90-94th percentile for Verbal but I'm anywhere between the 54th to the 71st percentile on Quant. As I mentioned, my score seems to be steadily declining with every practice test I take. To provide even more context, I also rank anywhere fro 54th to the 81st percentile on IR - performance here also seems to be inversely proportional to the number of completed practice tests.
All practice tests were completed under timed conditions and I thoroughly review all my incorrect problems afterwards. I've analyzed them back and forth to figure out if there's just one particular topic area I'm not getting right (there's no pattern, it's erratic).
I'm starting to stress out and am wondering if I should just submit my older GRE score. What worries me is that I have heard that the GRE score may work against me as it calls into question my commitment to the MBA program (i.e., Admissions might question whether I am serious about the program if I'm not willing to put in the added effort of taking the GRE GMAT (edited for typo) ).
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much!
