I've been taking the GMATPrep practice test through the official GMAT program available from the MBA website -- I took the two that came with my Offical 2016 GMAT Quant review book, and purchased 2 more for $49.99 on the GMAT Wiley website.

I've scored a:

710
700
730
680

How accurate, in your opinion, do these results hold to the actual test? My results are heavily skewed with my Verbal/IR resuts -- I'm 99th percentile in both Verbal and IR, and only 64th percentile in the quant. I'm taking my test TOMORROW and have only studied for like, maybe twenty hours max. I combed through the Quant review and answered all the practice questions, but that's it. I didn't study the verbal at all, I figured since I'm an avid reader I'd do just fine.

I'm a little freaked out because although I haven't studied much (the first time I took it and got a 710 was before I ever started studying, I took it as a baseline). The MBA program I'm interested in isn't "top tier" at all, so really anything over a 550 and I'll be just fine (Florida State).

I think, and many others have experienced, that GMATPrep and it's score algorithm are quite similar to the actual test. Of course not 100% the same but about 80%-90%. So no need to worry that your score at actual test could be below 550.

I would like to ask you one question. How could you gain 99th oercentile in Verbal while you didn't study the verbal at all? Could you share your exp?

what would be the right answer to the below mentioned question
Choose the grammatically correct sentence from among the four options given for

each question.
(a) I am not one of those who believe everything they hear.

(b) I am not one of those who believes everything I hear.

(c) I am not one of those who believes everything he hears.

(d) I am not one of those who believes in everything one hears.

A is correct. In that example, the antecedent of the pronoun they is "those" and not "I".

what wrong with option D, especially one hears

@ajpfinance I think you should be in the range 660-750 on the exam tomorrow. Let us know how it goes.

those - is plural
who - pronoun, refers to THOSE, therefore, the verb cannot be in singular form.

I'm honestly not sure, I guess because I read so much. For my entire life I've read 1-3 books a week, depending. To be honest with you, I really don't even know the actual terms and parts of speech. I'll say them out loud to myself, and whichever one "sounds right" is what I pick. I won't know why the others are wrong, but I'll know that it sounds really awkward when I say it. Whichever one sounds most natural to me is always right.

*I* would say the GMAT Prep Official Tests are extremely indicative of your final score. Expect to see a score on test day within a +/-30 range as compared to your GMAT Prep scores.
