How to go from 49 to 51?

Hi,

As far as we know, a score calculation is not based on the number of questions you got wrong.
The number of easy questions you got wrong doesn't have any influence on your score significantly.
However, difficult questions after question 20 have an impact on your score substantially.
Depending on practice tests provided by various companies, logic of calculating scores might slightly vary. Please note that mock tests scores tend to be higher than actual GMAT score and we don't recommend solely replying on mock test scores. Although you got 49, we still strongly recommend studying intensely.

In order to leap from 49 to hit 51, you ​​should ​be strong at solving final ​hard 4-5 questions ​which are difficult to solve. ​We call them CMT questions (Common Mistake Type). ​In fact, ​these hard 4-5 CMT ​questions are given on actual GMAT. If you get 1-2 questions ​wrong, you can definitely hit 49. Or, if you get ​0​-​1​ questions wrong, you can hit 50​-51. ​So, you should​ get 3-4 right out of hardest 4-5 questions. ​These questions usually take 4-5 minutes to solve per question. This is a big pressure because we have to solve 37 questions in 75 minutes.
