If m/4 +k/3= t/12, and m t and k are all positive integers. Based on this equation do t and 12 have common factor besides 12 and 1?
a) k is a multiple of 3
b) m is a multiple of 3

From stem: 3M+4k=T

From 1: Since K and 3M are multiples of 3, T will be a multiple of 3. Therefore, 12 (3*2^2) and T have common factor 3. SUFF.

From 2:
Tells us nothing about 4K. INSUFF.
