Thanks for the prompt response and taking time out to review our profiles.
Probably the biggest thing to ask is did you receive first class marks? If this is the highest group then it will be less of an issue. With so many qualified Indian applicants, it is difficult to shine if you had second class marks. Now if you think WES converts to 3.2 that is not too bad, but top programs have an avg GPA of closer to 3.6 and there is a pretty big difference between a 3.2 and a 3.6.No one item is a deal breaker... but this is why it helps that your GMAT is on the very high end.
I have a follow up question w.r.t to the GPA. My Cumulutaive Performance Index of 6.9/10 (CPI - as my university calls it) converts to 66.53%. A friend of mine, who got into Duke for Engineering Management, had 74% and WES converted it to 3.6 on a 4 point scale for him. Similarly, a friend of mine, who got into supply chain management in USC, had 71% and USC converted it into 3.4 on a 4 point scale for him. Based on this information, I think my marks when converted to GPA may give a 3.2 out of 4. Do you still believe that a 3.2 GPA would be on a lower end?

I'm not sure how the marks are converted into GPA and there is no straight formula and grades are awarded quite differently in India.
