Hi ajchauhan7

With the info I have about Rotman, I can say that they normally take 4-6 weeks to reply after submission of a complete application. I think they should receive everything under mandatory (* marked category) before they start the evaluation. You may wait for 1-2 weeks before triggering a follow-up mail. Can you tell whom did you contact in ADCOM?

All the best!

Well, I contacted a fellow named Richard Feliciano. Thanks for the insight! He had mentioned that they would consider the informal transcripts upload till the time they receive the formalized ones (sadly there is no way I can expedite this process). So that's why I felt it was kinda weird not hearing back for such long time. But anyway, thanks for the header- really appreciate it!

Hey aj,

There is one guy who submitted on 16th october and already got a call for interview. There might be many more like that and also many like you. I seriously don't know how they are handling the applications. Hope you get a call soon. The transcripts are not an issue. They will start off with the informal ones, you can have the originals sent later also.

On submission of application, we receive following e-mail (guess its auto generated):

Please note, we review fully completed applications first. If you are missing sending supplemental items, please submit as soon as possible so we can begin the process. If you have met a Round Deadline with a fully completed application, we will ensure you have a response by the time frames indicated on our website: www.rotman.utoronto.ca

Hence, I believe that Rotman will review completed applications first and then later ones.

Secondly, I received a reply from Richard that we can submit scan copy of transcripts, sending by post is not necessary. But when I asked Lynda, I received a reply that we need to post the official transcripts.

It is strange to know two different views from the AdComs.

Can anyone share their insights regarding the above.

Regards,
Harsh

Hi Harsh,

I did not receive any such mail regarding the submission. On the application portal it shows application submitted and my application is complete in all respects.
Regarding the transcripts, it is essential to post transcript copies. They can start processing your application when they have scanned copies but eventually they would want the originals.

From what I know through word of mouth of my peers, the admissions team isn't going to process your application until it's complete. Truth is, people lie. Why would they start processing an application with unofficial transcripts and run the risk of wasting time processing something that might be fraudulent?

The time it takes to hear back after submission also depends on the amount of submissions and how well they know you. When I applied in 2014, I know they were backlogged and weren't able to meet their own deadline dates. At the same time, I knew the admissions team fairly well from going to all the Rotman events, and I told them when I'd be applying so they were on the lookout for my application. From submission to a verbal offer on the phone, my application process took less than four weeks.
