I had my interview with an alumni on Oct 19. I submitted my application on Sep 18th. Overall a positive experience. Interview was at Panera Bread and was relaxed and conversational.

Well...not too happy right now. One of my recommenders still hasn't turned his in for Round 1, despite the rest of the application being in on time. I gave him six weeks to do it and reminded him countless times...I'm guessing this forces me into Round 2? Is there some grace period?

Last year there was a grace period of a week, I think. I heard this year that there is no grace period, but I haven't confirmed that. You should probably email/call the AdCom office to find out.

How long do you wait to re-email the alum you're interviewing with after the first email? I sent him an email 3 days ago so don't want to be too pushy but seeing as to how we only have 14 days we really dont have muhc itme!

Well, I just sent them an email and they confirmed that I'm now in Round 2...

I would give it another day or two before sending another reminder. Alums are often very busy so it is likely that they just haven't gotten to your mail yet. However, do let adcom know if he/she continue to not respond.

Hi, I submitted my application on September 16th. I requested an off-campus interview in Delhi, India. But am yet to receive any updates from them. Is there anyone else from this region who has already received any interview assignments?

I contacted Kellogg about my situation (currently deployed in Afghanistan). They responded: they're waiving the interview requirement - according to Kellogg, the "interview waiver will not negatively affect application." If they feel that an interview is necessary to render a decision, they will contact me and set something up. So here's to hoping they're not BS'ing me!

hey man, keep your chin up! I really do think Kellogg adcom is understanding (just from what ive seen from them in general). they will interview if they are interested in you, whether that be through skype or phone. i think it's instead of doing it before they review they'd just do it like a normal school: render an interview invite upon review.
