Hi everyone,
Recently I decided that I wanted to pursue a graduate degree in business and I was wondering what would I can do to increase my chances for a good school.
I graduated over 3 years ago with a low 2.4 GPA. Since then, I went back home to help out with a new online family business. In these 3 years, the online business has been fairly successful with revenues increasing about a quarter of a million each year with healthy profit margins.
I checked out the GMAT yesterday and took a full practice test online that gave me an estimate score of 740 so hopefully I could aim better on the real test once I receive prep books to study.
Should I try to take courses or certifications to offset my low undergraduate GPA and focus on improving the business for another year? Should I just try to apply? One concern I have is that if I leave, there is no one to take over the online business as my parents just can not learn how to use computers well. On the other hand, I feel like I need to expand my knowledge and skills to be able to learn how to manage or scale a company. I can't do that here as my parents' business model the past 30 years is to do everything solo.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
