If you're applying to a competitive program, you may want to consider retaking. Your quant and IR are solid, so just bumping verbal a little bit could showcase you as a stronger candidate. Anything in the high 600s would separate you from the crowd of the low 600s.

Hi Guys,

Thank you very much for your response.
I am planning to take the GMAT next Monday (November 14th).

Study plan:
Since I would like to strengthen my verbal section, as suggested by Scott, I retook the e-Gmat SC course, and I am now reviewing again the videos related to RC.
I will also practice the 600 questions in e-Gmat's scholaranium during my work weeks.

Due to the tight schedule, I can take 2 mock test before the official exam.

Mock tests:
I will also purchase Gmat Prep Exams 3+4, so I could estimate the score with official questions.
I also have access to additional two Veritas mock tests.

I will take the first test on November 5th, and the second on November 12th/11th.

Do you think that I should practice only Gmat Prep Exams, or should I take one official exams and one Veritas mock test.

Thank you in advance guys.

Best,

Hi Flis,

Rich

Dear Rich,

Thank you for your response.

please see my comments marked in red:

1) Did you take the ENTIRE CAT each time (including the Essay and IR sections)? I took the entire CAT only on October 20th (scored 720, IR -5)
2) Did you take them at home? Yes.
3) Did you take them at the same time of day as your Official GMAT? Yes
4) Did you ever do ANYTHING during your CATs that you couldn't do on Test Day (pause the CAT, skip sections, take longer breaks, etc.)? No.
5) Did you ever take a CAT more than once? Had you seen any of the questions BEFORE? On October 2nd (Gmat prep 1). In addition, 2 days before the exam I retook Gmat Prep Exam 5 from package 2. My score was inflated, so i didn't even bother to mention it in my post.

Please share with me you thoughts, and let me know if you have any suggestions to my study plan for the upcoming days.

Thank you,
Flis

Hi Flis,

Taking a practice CAT two days before your Official GMAT was NOT a good idea - you might have inadvertently 'burned out' before your Official Exam. The inconsistency in your Verbal practice CAT scores is significant and points to some aspect of your studies that was not handled properly or some aspect of Test Day that you didn't properly account for. Thus, I have a few additional questions about the lead-up to Test Day and Test Day itself:

1) What did you do in the 3 days before your GMAT?
2) How did you sleep the night before your Test?
3) How long was the ride to the Test Center from your home?
4) Were there any distractions at the facility or during the Test?
5) What did you do during the two 8-minute breaks?
6) Did you finish any sections early?
7) Did you have to rush to finish any sections (and guess on questions just to finish on time)?

Rich
