when a positive number X is divided by 3 the remainder is 2. find the remainder when the square of X is divided by 3

x = 3k + 2
x^2 = 9k^2 + 4 + 12k
Remainder when x^2 is divided by 3 = 1
since 9k^2 + 12k + 3 is divisible by 3.
