ConsultingGuy0543While I don't have a crystal ball, I am pretty confident in saying you can take this off your list of things to worry about. Receiving thousands of applications per year, it would be unrealistic to track applicant behavior down to this level. They probably just have this as an option for those high-minded Samaritans who want to free up capacity but really, for a webinar, no biggie.
Would just concentrate on your candidacy and advance WITH TOTAL CONFIDENCE. Focus your mindset on how you are a fit for the school in terms of culture and values, and they are a fit for you in terms of the same: the value prop on both sides.
I applaud your efforts to research the program thoroughly and if that shines through in the application/interviews it will make all the difference. Good luck! By the way, my school deadline calendar has links to upcoming online events for each school:
https://mbaessaycoaching.com/top-program-deadlines/If there are no upcoming webinars, look for recorded ones in the same area. And, there is likely to be something on the GC YT channel or the school YT channel. Focus your research on identifying values you want to shine through, and opportunities to contribute Things that would help with the essay responses and help guide your choice of recommendation anecdotes.

Hi there,
Might be an off-the-wall question, but worth a shot. I registered for an info session for an MBA program. This was an online webinar where it was an hour presentation from admissions.
Quite simply, I had a major work commitment shift a day before and could not attend. The program had a “cancel your registration link” that I tried to click on, but there was an error and it would not load.
I emailed MBA Events for this school the day before, told them about the circumstances and expressed my interest in getting the webinar. I had already made a (long distance and $$$) trip to visit the school in person and have talked to about 15 students.
MBA Events has not replied. I am wondering if this type of thing is tracked and if it will negatively impact admissions. I really wanted to do the right thing and unregister, but the link simply did not work and emailing was my only option.
Advice on next steps is welcome. Next steps might be “don’t worry”, but curious anyways. Thank you!
