Hello,
I am about to start my preparation for the GMAT and currently have the following material at hand:
-
MGMAT Strategy Guides 6th edition (0 to 9)
-
OG 2020
I am still uncertain whether or not I should buy an on-demand interact course (only option that fits for me if ever I decide to go for a course).
My doubts revolve around 2 general questions:
1- Does the on-demand interact course contains additional information not available in the books (content, strategy, etc...)? I might decide to buy the Questions Bank, Practice Exams and Advanced Quant Book separately if I don't see the added value of the interactive video lessons.
2- If I go for the Quant-only Interact course, would I still get all the online tools that come with the full interact course? And most importantly, will I get a full syllabus including verbal as well? While I intend to study the whole Quant and SC sections from
MGMAT, I would like to use another source for CR (Powersore Bible), which makes me think that the Verbal interact course may not be necessary. However, I would like to have a comprehensive syllabus (Quant + Verbal) to guide me through my studies on a weekly basis. Would this be possible if registering for the Quant-only course?
Finally, while I own the
OG 2020, I noticed that
MGMAT courses refer to
OG 2019 for practices. Is this a problem or are both editions similar?
Please note that I haven't take the GMAT yet, have at least 6 months to study for the test, and have good foundations with respect to the material. My target score is 720+.
I am planing on starting next week and would like to make sure I have everything that is needed in terms of material to reach my target score.
Many thanks for clearing my doubts.
Best,
I really wish this reaches you before it is too late.
Take a manhattan crash course of 9 GMAT Classes if you want. I've been through that course. It is compatible with your material. ALSO, you made a mistake purchasing all manhattan guides as if you'd have gone for that course, I'm sure, you'd get all the strategy guides and
OG from their side and also 6
MGMAT Tests ($49 worth)
Nevertheless, you still got those. Good thing is you can activate your tests and question banks. If you're Indian, I could suggest you some good platforms. Don't rush into anything. Since you're just starting, I assume you'll be applying in Round 2. Anyhow, I have seen a lot of prep companies that do not give enough. Keep
the official guide for the ultimate preparation.
Also, don't worry there are links to
OG questions on GMAT Club. You don't need to buy anything else. Even verbal review questions are posted. Buy the GMAT question pack from mba.com ( available on GMAT Club but still recommended)
