Let’s look at the second paragraph where the author talks about Clark’s take on the matter:

Clark makes the point that the characteristics of a technology have a decisive influence on job skills and work organization. Put more strongly, technology can be a primary determinant of social and managerial organization. Clark believes this possibility has been obscured by the recent sociological fashion, exemplified by Braverman’s analysis, that emphasizes the way machinery reflects social choices.

Now, let’s come back to the question:
The information in the passage suggests that Clark believes that which of the following would be true if social constructivism had not gained widespread acceptance?

The Options A, C, and D are not relevant to the question. You were able to correctly narrow down your options to B and E—both talk about technology.

We want an answer that tells us how technology will affect social and managerial organisation. Further, it is stated that “believes this possibility has been obscured by the recent sociological fashion […]" This part of the passage is talking about what would have happened if social constructivism had not been popularized. Option E can be eliminated because ‘role of business’ is vague in terms of the paragraph. Further, Option E talks about the “the role of business in society” which is incorrect. Clark is clearly talking about “the role played by technology in producing social change.”

Therefore B is the right answer.

As for this passage, this is a really tough passage and 2 minutes is not something you need to worry since it is the average response time per question that we see.

Hope this helps!
