Calling all CMU Tepper MBA Applicants: [2020 Intake] Class of 2022

Hi all,
I am an R2 applicant for tepper mba program
In the desired function what one has to write for a role of business development and product management.

The role of product manager and business developer in digital business field is more than marketing.

In the options I am confused with two options:

Mis/IT ( is it mis in it or it is mis or it)?

Marketing- other ( this is one function of the aspiration I have)

If anyone has similar aspiration can anyone please help me out?

Any movement for folks on R1 waitlist?

I am not 100% sure about Tepper's WL policies, but in general, if you're WL in R1, you will be re-considered in each subsequent round with regards to the candidates in that round. Therefore, you should expect a decision at the R2 notification dates, in which case you will continue to remain on the WL into R3, or you might receive either an offer or rejection. Some schools might notify on a rolling basis, but the aforementioned approach to WL seems to be the most common. Also, what schools expect you to do while on the WL differs, but you should do what they say and in almost all cases, do your best to strengthen weaknesses in your application (typically raising the GMAT/GRE score or taking additional coursework to offset a low GPA).

Hey all.

Any idea whether Tepper allows an extension beyond the application deadline to submit the LoR?

What kind of consulting and energy companies typically recruit at Tepper? COuld you help list few of them?

It is mentioned on the Tepper website that they expect the official scores to be received by the application deadline. Do they relax this criteria or are they strict on this? I read this at the last moment and am wondering whether I have a chance in the upcoming round. Any idea on this guys?

Do you really need to provide the names of the other MBA program?
Is it better to provide a higher ranked or lower ranked program that Tepper?

BoundMan - Umm, I listed 2 Higher ranked programs and 2 lower rank programs but all were programs strong in Tech ( my area of Interest )! So rather than ranking, I showcased programs that have facilities that align with my career goals!
